Patron Saints of
"Parents Who Pray"

These are some of the Saints who are praying
for members of this e-group and our children.

The Holy FamilyThe Holy Family

Heavenly Father, You have given us a model of life in the Holy Family of Nazareth. Help us, O loving Father, to make our family another Nazareth where love, peace, and joy reign.

May it be deeply contemplative, intensely Eucharistic, and vibrant with joy. Help us to stay together in joy and sorrow through family prayer. Teach us to see Jesus in the members of our family, especially in their distressing disguise.

May the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus make our hearts meek and humble like His and help us to carry out our family duties in a holy way. May we love one another as God loves each one of us more and more each day, and forgive each others' faults as You forgive our sins.                                ~ Mother Teresa

St. Francis of AssisiSt. Francis of Assisi

"To our family St. Francis is special. We are the stewards of God's creations and that applies to animals and children. We have a lot of pets. My son has read about him and has a statue. On our Grace's 2nd birthday, God brought us a little abandoned kitten, and our oldest came by to visit."
~ Stacy

St. RaphaelSt. Raphael

"St. Raphael is the Archangel of Healing. My husband's name is Ralph, a derivation of 'Raphael'. We need the big guns in the battle we've been waging for our children, so I ask for the help of the archangels. I'm counting on St. Raphael and his gift of healing to help restore our family and heal the hearts of our children."

~ Terry

Other parents who are members of "Parents Who Pray" may submit pictures of their favorite Patron Saints. Please include praise stories of answered prayer, if possible, or a brief explanation of why the Saint is your Saint. Send them through the e-group so that all members may benefit from reading it.

St. Monica
St. Monica

The tears of St. Monica and the golden words of St. Ambrose led to the conversion of her son, St. Augustine of Hippo. Our tears are like precious diamonds for Jesus. Each tear is itself a prayer. When you're tired of using words, just cry.
